Have you seen the movie Gone Baby Gone? I saw it Saturday night and have been thinking about it since - do multiple wrongs ever make a right? I don't want to give the plot or ending away but am curious what others think about the ending - did he make the right decision why or why not?
Yes he did. Laws are meant to uphold stability and order in this country. When those laws are compromised or set aside disorder and decay ensues. While he may not have made the morally right decision in that given situation, he made the right decision. Abandoning laws leaves us in the situation we are today, and with the government we have today. What our country needs is more people such as Casey Afflect's character. It is those people who make decisions with a sense of larger order that can help to rectify the problems in or country. While it may have seemed right to leave the girl, that kind of action opens the window to many other more disastrous decisions.

I agree - my heart broke for the little girl but I believe he did the only thing he could have done.
